Head of Department

With great enthusiasm, we present the First-Year B.Tech Curriculum for Academic Year 2025, developed independently by our institute under the Autonomous status and in alignment with the visionary goals of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020. This syllabus marks a significant stride toward a holistic, flexible, and multidisciplinary framework designed to meet the evolving needs of technical education.
As an autonomous institution, we have exercised academic freedom to design the curriculum through a collaborative and consultative process, integrating inputs from industry experts, academic scholars, and interdisciplinary faculty panels. This process ensures that the curriculum is not only grounded in strong theoretical foundations but is also responsive to current industry expectations and future-ready competencies.
This learner-centric syllabus encourages critical thinking, conceptual clarity, and hands-on learning, preparing students to thrive in dynamic engineering landscapes. Our dedicated faculty and academic leadership are fully committed to its seamless implementation, ensuring that the learning environment continues to uphold excellence, innovation, and inclusivity.
We are confident that this curriculum will cultivate a generation of engineers who are not only technically sound but also ethically grounded, socially aware, and capable of contributing meaningfully to the global community.

Vision
- To work for excellence in integrated learning based on teaching and research
Mission
- To impart fundamental knowledge of sciences and Engineering to students from diverse backgrounds
- To equip students with good ethical values to become responsible citizens for the betterment of society
Under the autonomous status of the institute and in alignment with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, the Department of Engineering Sciences and Humanities holds a central role in coordinating academic and co-curricular activities for all First Year B.Tech students. These activities are crafted to promote holistic development and interdisciplinary exploration
The Head of Department leads the initiative through strategic collaboration with First-Year Academic Coordinators, Time-Table and Exam Cell Coordinators, Course Coordinators, Class Teachers, Mentors, Course Faculty, and Class Representatives. This structured approach ensures smooth integration of academic operations with mentoring and co-curricular support.
With the conferment of autonomous status, the curriculum structure and syllabus for First Year B.Tech are designed through a consultative process involving industry professionals, academic experts, and interdisciplinary faculty panels. Key considerations include:
- Academic Insights: Bloom’s Taxonomy alignment, CO-PO attainment metrics, and heutagogical learning models
- Humanities Emphasis: Integration of Human Values, Communication Skills, and Professional Ethics as foundational subjects aligned with NEP goals
The Students Induction Program is mandatory Induction Program—framed in accordance with AICTE and NEP 2020—is conducted for newly admitted students:
This develops:
-
- Human Values and Professional Ethics
- Communication Skills and Emotional Intelligence
- Peer Networking, Faculty Interaction, and Mentorship Circles
- Co-curricular Activities and Experiential Learning Modules.
